Gabarito da Cruzadinha!!

Afirmações:
Para as primeiras e segundas pessoas, o verbo fica igual à forma infinitiva (mas sem a partícula “to”), nas terceiras pessoas, há a necessidade de adicionar ao fim do verbo as extensões “s“, “es” ou “ies“.

Exemplos:
- He washes the car (ele lava o carro)
- I like internet (eu gosto de internet)

Interrogações:
Para fazer frases interrogativas, vamos usar o auxiliar DO (ou DOES, para as terceiras pessoas) antes do verbo.

Exemplos:
- Do you go to school ? (Você vai para a escola ?)
- Does she work ? (Ela trabalha? )

Negações:
Para tornar uma frase negativa, é só adicionar o “NOT” depois do DO ou DOES:

- I Do not (don’t) work (eu não trabalho)
- She does not (doesn’t) work (ela não trabalha)

Conjugação dos verbos no presente simples com exemplos

Conjugation of verbs in the simple present with examples

OBS.: To be não está incluído porque tem regras próprias.

O presente simples é geralmente usado para ações habituais, do dia a dia, algo que acontece com frequência. É frequentemente usado com algum advérbio de frequência, como ALWAYS, NEVER, OFTEN, SELDON, RARELY, SOMETIMES, EVERYDAY, EVERYWEEK, EVERYMONTH, etc. Também é usado para ações que já estão programadas para acontecer no futuro, sendo assim, geralmente acompanhada por TOMORROW, NEXT WEEK, NEXT MONTH, etc. Isso demonstra que o Presente Simples do Inglês não é similar ao presente do Português. Ele tem uma relação direta com o passado, o presente e o futuro. Ele descreve uma coisa que sempre aconteceu (ligação com o passado), acontece (ligação com o presente), e que, provavelmente, continuará acontecendo (ligação com o futuro).

Para usarmos o Presente simples, devemos, antes, saber as regras de conjugação de verbos. Note que elas são, praticamente, as mesmas regras que uasamos para botar um substantivo no plural.

1° REGRA: Se o verbo não se encaixa em nenhuma das outras regras, apenas acrescenta-se o "S" no final da palavra.

O simple present é formado pelo verbo em sua forma original na maioria das pessoas, com exceção da terceira pessoa do singular.

Veja estas frases com o verbo drink (beber) como exemplo:

I drink orange juice every day. 
You drink beer in the bar. 
We drink champagne in New Year’s Eve. 
Entretanto, a 3ª pessoa do singular tem necessidade de uma conjugação. 

He drinks wine with his parents. 
She drinks water after gym. 

Verbos terminados em Y: Os verbos terminados em Y precedido de consoante, como study (estudar), try (tentar), fly (voar) e outros, perderão o Y, que será substituído por "ie" + "s", ficando então. Ex: He studies, she studies. 

Os verbos também terminados em Y só que precedidos de vogal, como play (jogar), say (dizer), não terão esta alteração. A sua flexão se fará como qualquer outro verbo. 

Ex: I play, he plays, she plays, they play. 
You say, he says, she says, we say. 

Verbos terminados em SS, SH, CH, Z, X, O: Os verbos terminados com estas letras, como guess (adivinhar), push (empurrar), watch (assistir), buzz (zumbir), receberão um "e" antes do "s" na terceira pessoa do singular. 

I watch the games but he watches a different movie every night.
